NAHMA Names Stanfill Towers Exemplary Elderly Project
January 25, 2023 | General
Stanfill Towers was recently named “Exemplary Elderly Project of 2022” by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA). The team from PRD will be pleased to receive this honor in March 2023 at the NAHMA spring meeting in Washington, DC.
In 1976, Stanfill Towers was a widely opposed project— but it ultimately became an example of what is truly possible when town leaders choose the common good over their own personal and political interests. The non-profit owner of this affordable housing worked closely with PRD to ensure that it would be a beacon of community pride for years to come as well as inspiration for other affordable elderly buildings in surrounding towns.
The PRD Management team took the lead in running the Stanfill Towers over 45 years ago. We immediately set a tone of excellence that would become our trademark phrase, by asking the question, “What would I want it to be like, if my mother was going to live here?”. We still ask this question, and our results are a direct reflection of our caring commitment to people and property.
And about the Stanfill site team, we cannot say enough! They are there in the thick of it, with smiles and patience, fostering the PRD vision both on-site and behind the scenes. Our team warmly feeds into the fabric of the community and brings personal investment into their work at the property. This benefits everyone in countless ways.
Today, Stanfill is a campus with Section 8 and moderate income apartments, and gorgeous community spaces. We salute the amazing board of directors, site staff and our corporate office team on this latest achievement: NAHMA’s Exemplary Elderly Property for 2022! Way to Go!
